Brand Finance organises a global 500 ranking where the organisation let’s the world know the top 500 brands around the world. This year Jio joined the race for the first time and managed to get the 5th position.
Reliance Jio India’s currently most used telecom service managed to get the 5th position in the Brand Finance Global 500 2021 and became world’s 5th strongest brand.
Jio currently has 91.7 BSI score out of 100. BSI is the acronym for Business Standards International. Even though it has only been 5 years since Jio was founded in the year 2016 it managed to grow it’s popularity among the people and became one of the largest mobile network operator in India and it is also 3rd largest mobile network operator in the entire world. Now it is also 5th strongest brand in the world as well.
Jio’s popularity among the people of India increased due to the way Jio started its services. At first Jio provided free 4G Internet to each and every customer and when the free services ended its prices were still lower than other mobile operators. This is the reason why Jio managed to beat all its rival and became India’s largest mobile operator. This effect of Jio is now been called as the “Jio Effect”
Recently Jio’s arch rival Bharti Airtel demonstrated its 5G services at the Tech City of Hyderabad before Jio and became a 5G Ready Network. Although Jio promises to launch its 5G services at the second half of 2021 and people are awaiting for that. If Airtel Manages to get all the government clearances before Jio then Airtel will Launch it’s 5G services but will that be enough to beat Jio’s Jio Effect? only time will tell.
