Guwahati, December 15 – Modern English School, Kahilipara, marked a momentous occasion on December 15 as it celebrated its 40th Annual Function with a spectacular event showcasing its students’ incredible talents at at Pragjyoti ITA Centre for Performing Arts, Machkhowa. The magnificence of the day was made stronger by the presence of Mr. L.L. Meena, Regional Officer, CBSE as the Chief Guest.
The school was also honoured by the presence of the Director, Modern English School, eminent playback singers, Mr. Dwipen Baruah and Mrs Surekha Chhetri and singer and music composer, Mr. Jyoti Prakash Das as Guest of Honours. The three prominent guest also performed their famous tracks during the programme on students request.
The programme began with the rendition of welcome song which was followed by the commencement of Annual Day celebration. The guests were honoured by the students of the institution and later followed by lighting of the lamp by the eminent dignitaries.
The evening showcased students’ incredible talents with captivating performances, including various dances, songs, and poem recitations. The thematic presentations, spanning from Nursery to Class XI, highlighted the creativity and enthusiasm of the young participants.
The four theme-based programs, Smiles Swirls and Spectacles, Blossom Breeze Bash, Harmony Across Horizon and Haathe Haathe Dhori, enthralled the audience as students showcased their artistic prowess through dance, music, and poetry. The performances entertained and demonstrated the depth of talent nurtured within the school.
Several deserving students were recognized for their outstanding achievements during the celebration. Awards were presented in various categories to honour excellence and encourage continued dedication.
