The special Durga Puja initiative brings together tradition, creativity and women empowerment, featuring a unique Durga installation, a women’s motorcycle ride and exciting prizes for devotees.
Royal Enfield, in association with Superhits 93.5 RED FM, inaugurated DASHAROOPI, a special Durga Puja initiative, at the iconic Guwahati Sarbajanin Durga Puja, Latasil. The celebration, which will continue until October 20, brings a unique blend of tradition, creativity and the spirit of riding to one of Guwahati’s most popular Durga Puja destinations.
The biggest attraction of DASHAROOPI is a specially designed Durga idol featuring weapons crafted from Royal Enfield motorcycle spare parts and scrap materials. From the trishul to other traditional weapons of Goddess Durga, each element has been creatively reimagined using motorcycle components, giving the installation a distinctive look while retaining the essence of the traditional Durga idol.
The concept draws a connection between the strength and power of Goddess Durga and the spirit of Royal Enfield, bringing together traditional craftsmanship and motorcycle engineering in an unusual artistic expression. The installation also highlights how discarded mechanical parts can be creatively repurposed into something meaningful.
A special women’s motorcycle ride was another highlight of the inauguration, celebrating the confidence, freedom and strength of women riders. The ride added a special dimension to the occasion, reflecting the spirit of women empowerment that forms an important part of the DASHAROOPI initiative.
Apart from the unique Durga installation, visitors to the Puja Mandap will also have opportunities to participate in special lucky draws and contests, with exciting gifts and prizes up for grabs throughout the five-day celebration.
Through DASHAROOPI, Royal Enfield and RED FM aim to create a festive experience that goes beyond the conventional, bringing together devotees, motorcycle enthusiasts and the wider community. The initiative also celebrates the growing presence of women in motorcycling, while adding a fresh creative element to Guwahati’s Durga Puja celebrations.
Highlights from the celebration, including the Durga installation, women’s ride and other activities, will also be shared through RED FM’s social media platforms.
DASHAROOPI will be open to visitors at Guwahati Sarbajanin Durga Puja, Latasil, from October 16 to 20, offering devotees and visitors an opportunity to witness a unique interpretation of Goddess Durga and take part in the festive activities.
