In the latest ranking of NIRF INNOVATION announced on 5th June 2023 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, Assam Don Bosco University tops the list among Private Universities in the whole of North East India. National Institutional Ranking Framework Innovation (NIRF) is an initiative of Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India to systematically rank all major higher educational institutions and universities in India on indicators related to “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development” amongst students and faculty members.
The Nodal Coordinator for NIRF at Don Bosco University, Asst. Prof. Arup Baruah said, “Out of 1417 Higher Educations all over India, Don Bosco University is placed in the 151-300 band and other Universities like Assam Down Town University, Assam Royal Global University, and Assam Kaziranga University are placed in the ‘Participated’ category. IIT Guwahati is placed in the 11-50 band. NIT Silchar is also placed along with our University in the ‘151-300’ while Dibrugarh University, Tezpur University and other institutes from Assam have been placed in the ‘Participated’ category”.
Commenting on the NIRF Innovation 2023, Fr (Dr) Stephen Mavely, the Vice Chancellor of Assam Don Bosco University said, “This is a testament of the commitment of the University in encouraging innovations and the result of the hard work and dedication of our faculty and students.”
It may be mentioned here that Assam Don Bosco University is the only University in the private sector in Assam with an ‘A’ Grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University’s Institute of Pharmacy has also got an approval from Pharmacy Council of India and admissions are going on in various programmes at the University.
