Assam School Reopening: Schools to reopen on Nov 2, CM asks to follow strict protocols and guidelines

Assam schools would reopen on November 2, 2020, as per the latest updates from Government officials. The Chief Minister of the state, Sarbananda Sonowal has directed the education department to take up strictly follow the COVID-19 protocols while reopening schools on November 2 after more than seven months.

Classroom teaching would begin from November 2nd for the students of class 6 and above. The education department informed that the students of classes 6, 7, 9 and 12 would engage in classroom teachings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays of every week while those of classes 8, 10 and 11 would report to school.

In a similar way, college students of 1st, 3rd and 5th semesters would have classes for two, three and four days respectively week after week. Classes would begin in two phases and each phase is only allowed a maximum of 25 students.
