An Ayurvedic doctor and nurse among six were arrested for alleged black-marketeering of antiviral drug Remdesivir in the hospital. The nurse was deployed in the COVID ward of a private hospital in South Delhi and would procure Remdesivir injections of COVID patients who got discharged.
According to the reports, in the records, she showed that the injection was used during treatment. The group would demand Rs. 70,000 for each injection. A man would come near the hospital’s bus stand for delivering Remdesivir injection.
Later, a raid was conducted and all were arrested.
In a separate incident, a doctor and a security guard of a hospital in Nangloi was selling the drug at inflated rates. During interrogation, he disclosed the doctor. Raid was conducted and the doctor was arrested.
