The CBSE Cluster – I Badminton Tournament 2024, came to a successful conclusion on 26th September 2024 at the Ganesh Mandir Indoor Stadium, Khanapara, Guwahati. This three-day tournament brought together young badminton talents from across the region, with students competing in various categories, including Under 14, 17, and 19 for both Boys and Girls, in both Singles and Doubles matches.
The inaugural ceremony was a grand affair attended by Mr. Sandeep Tandon, Regional Officer of CBSE, Mr. Biswajit Ghosh, the Tournament Director, Mr. Pankaj Das, Director of Modern English School, Mrs. Jonali Das, the Principal of Modern English School, along with the Vice Principals, teachers, referees, coaches, and the enthusiastic participants. The event commenced with a melodious group song, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, motivational speeches, flag hoisting, a vibrant march past, and an inspiring oath taken by the participating teams.
Over the course of three days, the students demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship, competing fiercely in each match. The spirit of healthy competition was evident, and the tournament provided a wonderful platform for young athletes to display their talents.
