Assam Pickleball Open Concludes with Enthralling Matches and Grand Participation.
The Assam Pickleball Open 2025 concluded on a high note today at Eden Greens Nursery, Nalapara, Sarusajai, showcasing an impressive display of skill, sportsmanship, and growing enthusiasm for the sport across the region. Organized by the Assam Pickleball Association, the two-day tournament (21–22 June) was officially sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball
Association (IPA) and awarded valuable Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) points. Over 50 players from across the Northeast competed in various categories, making it one of the most competitive pickleball events in the region to date. The tournament featured Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles across age groups, drawing crowds of supporters, enthusiasts, and media attention.
Speaking on the occasion, Nazneen Rahman, Secretary of the Assam Pickleball Association, said, “This tournament marks a major step forward in popularizing pickleball in Assam and North East. The passion and professionalism of the players have truly set the tone for many such events in the future.”
The prize distribution ceremony, held in the presence of distinguished guests and dignitaries at 4:00 PM on Sunday, celebrated the winners and appreciated all participants, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the tournament.
With the successful hosting of the Assam Pickleball Open, the state reaffirms its commitment to promoting and nurturing pickleball as an inclusive and fast-growing sport.
