Er. Koneru Satyanarayana, Chancellor of KL Deemed-to-be-University received the Lifetime Achievement Award for the philanthropic services rendered through the educational institution. He received this covetous award from the former Vice President of India Shri Venkaiah Naidu Garu at a glittering function organised by Lok Nayak Foundation Visakhapatnam on January 18, 2023.
For the past four decades, Er. Koneru Satyanarayana has immensely contributed towards the Indian education ecosystem and has played a vital role in transforming the technical education sector. Shri Satyanarayana is an ardent champion of social service and rural upliftment. Being a master philanthropist, he encouraged rural development and supported the economically socially weaker sections and women through his Outreach programs. He has adopted 112 villages and served to make them smart villages. He encouraged students from poor backgrounds by providing them with scholarships and fee concessions. He is a devout feminist and spearheaded various empowerment projects, including the formation of the Women Welfare Wing at the university to promote education and training for underprivileged women.

January 18 is marked with the celebration every year, as a mark of respect to the late Actor N.T Rama Rao and Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Both of them passed away on this date. This year (2023) marked the birth centenary of NTR.
The event was organized by LokNayak Foundation ‘Sahitya Puraskaram’ to commemorate the centenary celebrations of the birth of NTR, at VMRDA Children’s Arena, Siripuram. Some eminent Telugu writers, poets, and celebrities who have contributed to further the cause of Telugu literature was presented at the literary award. Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu was the chief guest at the function, and Justice Lavu Nageswara Rao, a retired Judge of the Supreme Court, was the guest of honour.
