The State government is thinking of compensating the kin of martyrs by building memorials for them.
On Thursday,the party national president Akhilesh Yadav said that when the party is voted to rule in Uttar Pradesh then it would build memorials for the farmers who lost their lives during the farm protest.
In the honour of the farmers, the SP government will soon announce an award like Kishan Samman Purashkar.
Mr. Yadav tweeted, “On forming the government, the SP will build smaraks (memorials) in the memory of martrys of the kisan andolan”.
The former chief minister also demanded that the state government should compensate the kin of the martyrs who lost their lives during the protests including Navreet Singh of Rampur and Baljinder of Pilibit.
The “antim ardas” ceremony of Navreet Singh was attended by Congress general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Rampur. The SP government also deputed their Senior MLA and leader of the Opposition in the assembly, Ram Govind Chaudhary also attended the final prayer in the West UP district.
