Arjun Tendulkar, son of the great Sachin Tendulkar, S. Sreesanth will be among the few notable cricketers who will be going under the hammer in the IPL auction which will held on 18th February 2021.
Arjun Tendulkar could make his much awaited debut in this IPL. All eyes are looking for S. Sreesanth also who was ban on the charge of match fixing in 2013.
Arjun has set his base price at Rs 20lakh. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and India’s S Sreesanth are among the 1097 players who have registered for the much-awaited IPL auction which going to be held in Chennai on February 18. A total of 814 players from India and 283 from overseas – registered for the auction.
S. Sreesanth was initially banned for life by BCCI for spot-fixing scandal in the 2013 IPL but the ban was reduced to seven years in August 2019. Now it would be interesting to watch how this 37years old cricketer showed his magic.
Harbhajan Singh, Kedar Jadhav, Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Jason Roy, Mark Wood, Liam Plunkett and Colin Ingram – all set their base price at Rs 2 crore.
ICC n.o 1 batsman Dawid Malan could make his IPL debut this year. He set his base price of Rs 1.5crore including other cricketers like Alex Carey, Tom Curran, Mitchell Swepson, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Alex Hales, Jhye Richardson, Adil Rashid, David Willey, Adam Lyth.
Kings XI Punjab go into the auction with Rs 53.20 crore, followed by RCB (Rs 35.90 crore), RR (Rs 34.85 crore), CSK (Rs 22.90 crore), MI (Rs 15.35 crore), DC (Rs 12.9 crore) and Rs 10.75 crore each for KKR and SRH.
IPL 2021 will be start from 11th April this year according to the BCCI official but an official call on the start date of IPL 14 is yet to be taken.
