IPL Auction 2021:Chris Morris, Kyle Jamieson and Glenn Maxwell are top 3 expensive player.

A total of 57 players, including 22 overseas stars, were sold at the auction

 This time IPL auction broke all the records in terms of money. 57 players were bought and a total of Rs 145.3 crore was spent at the mini-auction.

22 overseas players were sold and it was Chris Morris who became the most expensive player in the history of IPL. Rajasthan Royals brought him at the Rs16.25 crore. New Zealand all-rounder Kyle Jamieson, who was lapped up for Rs. 15 crore by Royal Challengers Bangalore and he has become the second most expensive player of IPL 2021. Glenn Maxwell, who had a poor season in the last IPL, RCB brought him atRs14.25 crore.

Riley Meredith also broke the record for the most expensive overseas uncapped player when he was picked up byPreity Zinta’s Punjab Kings for Rs 8 crore.

Uncapped India off-spinner Krishnappa Gowtham were sold at Rs9.2 crore by CSK.

We saw some surprises also, Test cricket specialist Cheteshwar Pujara picked by CSK while Harbhajan Singh and Kedar Jadhav found late takers in Kolkata Knight Rider and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Sachin Tendulkar’s son and left-arm pacer Arjun Tendulkar was the last pick at the auction as Mumbai Indians bought him for Rs 20 lakh.
