Principal Mrs. Jonali Das addressed he students and discussed about the significance of the day and how Yoga can positively impact several aspects of their lives, from academic performance to stress management and overall physical and mental fitness.
The school has been specifically vocal about Yoga and encouraging students to make it a part of their life as it helps in gaining balance, strength, endurance, and physical and emotional stability. Besides, the school has been actively spreading awareness about mental health issues and educating students about the same. The school recently launched a mental health counselling division to help students deal with everyday stress and strike a balance between academic and personal life. It aided students with ways of handling stress and guided them in making healthy choices. The school administration felt the need for mental health counselling due to rising stress and anxiety among students, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic.
