Suvendu Adhikari,leader of Opposition in West Bengal’s legislative,headed a delegation of the leaders Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to Bangladesh’s deputy high commissioner in Kolkata to show concerns over the mob attack took place on friday at the ISKCON temple in the Noakhali district of bangladesh which resulted in the death of a Hindu community peoples.
Adhikari in his twitter said that “We are committed to fight for the rights & security of the Hindus, wronged anywhere in the world,”. Earlier also He had described the attacks on Durga Puja pandals in Bangladesh and assault on the Hindu Bengali community.
The Bangladesh government had ordered a probe into the matter, ISKCON authorities on Sunday asked for intervention by the United Nations secretary general, Antonio Guterres. The attack on ISKCON at Noakhali is the latest in a series of attacks on Hindu religious places in Bangladesh during the Durga Puja celebrations.
Samik Bhattacharya, spokesman of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal, accused the Sheikh Hasina government for taking no action against the culprits.He further said that “Such incidents of atrocities on Hindus have increased over the past few months. The government remained a mute spectator,”
