Pakistan’s NSA Moeed Yusuf said the statement which he was given on west and taliban during an Interview with British newspaper The Sunday Times on saturday was fabricated and wrongly attributed to him.

In an interview to British newspaper The Sunday Times on Saturday,Pakistan NSA Moeed Yusuf warned that another 9/11 is possible if the west doesn’t engage with taliban or repeats the mistakes of the 90s.

“Mark my words…If the mistakes of the nineties are made again and Afghanistan is abandoned, the outcome will be absolutely the same – a security vacuum filled by undesirable elements who will threaten everyone, Pakistan and the West,” Yusuf was quoted as saying by The Times on Saturday.

The Pakistan NSA ,Moeed Yusuf, in his press release, said that A story titled Work with the Taliban or Repeat the Horror of the 1990s, West Told, authored by Christina Lamb ,published in The Times on August 28, 2021, was a wrong interpretation of his interview.

The statement released by Pakistan’s NSA Moeed Yusuf office said “This connotation was fabricated and totally wrongly attributed to the National Security Adviser”

In the statement it is also mentioned that “the conversation that took place between Ms Lamb and the NSA is a gross mischaracterization . At no point did he state that the West should immediately recognize the Taliban, as the article states. Nor was there any warning of a second 9/11 linked to formal recognition of the Taliban,” the statement added.

Meanwhile,Christina Lamb has denied Yusuf’s allegation of “mischaracterization” and said that the interview was recorded.

1. As USA pulled off from Afghanistan Taliban took just few days to capture Kabul by defining US trained national army of Afghanistan and now the Taliban is ruling over Afghanistan. And now terrorist has got a new haven where they can operate freely and can continue there mission of killing innocent people, recent suicide blast in Kabul international airport in a proof of it where more than100 US nationals lost there life and now it is quite certain that US and its allies will not be able evacuate all of its citizen.
As president Biden announced that US is going to leave Afghanistan by 31 Aug , Taliban started marching towards Kabul and without any major resistance Taliban captured Kabul and started governing. Now question arise that what happened suddenly that 70 thousand Taliban defied an US trained professional army of above 2lakh. So it is really tough to answer of this question, one reason can be the decision of pulling out so fast , as a result of pulling out so fast US military left there world-class weapons , military vehicles, surveillance drowns, Helicopters etc behind and the Taliban got possession of this weapons with every district they won. In this context US Congressman Jim Banks said that Taliban is now in the possession of worth 85billion dollars US military Weapons.
Former President Trump while criticizing president Biden said this is Joe Biden did a blander he also added that before pulling out from Afghanistan US must have evaluated its nationals first and then bombed all the US base so that Taliban cannot get the access to the high-tech US weapon. Some where it seems that Donald Trump is correct the correct words because we have recently seen the images of the special troops of Taliban decorated with the high-tech military equipment’s of USA.
But now it is of no benefit in speaking about how Taliban captured Afghanistan. Now the world should think about tackling the consequences of this event. It is now known to all world that the main source of income of Talban is producing drugs and now as Taliban is in the power , they can produce more drugs and this drugs can be smuggled to the neighboring countries and through this countries it can reach to the rest of the world and this drugs can reach to India also. Now one can argue that Taliban has confirmed that they will not be doing such acts but it is also evident that without producing and smuggling drugs Taliban will not be able to meet the Afghanistan annual budget 19 billion dollars because they are not going to receive the aid from various countries like France, Germany , India etc . To tackle this drugs issue India took a step and agreed to start working together with Russian federation, this news was confirmed after a 45 minutes long discussion between PM Modi and President Putin Of Russia
Apart from the drug issue, India has another concern. After the recent bombast in the Kabul Airport US intelligence has pointed its finger towards the ISIS affiliated Islamic State Khorasan. After this horrifying terror attack President Joe Biden came on public and said that US is going to destroy Islamic State khorasan with help of their allies in Afghanistan . Now the question is nether France nor Germany or Britain is staying in Afghanistan then who are the allies President Biden was talking about? After US there in now only one power remains in Afghanistan and that is Taliban so it can be clearly seen that President Biden in talking about Taliban. President Biden is now may be planning to build alliance with Taliban under with Taliban will keep Islamic state Khorasan under control. This is a concern for India because if this happens it means US in following the theory of good terrorism and bad terrorism with is totally against the official stand if India on terrorism, India believes that there is no good or bad terrorism, terrorism is any face is harmful and there will be a major difference between the view point of USA and India in world stage and this difference may affect the relation of India and USA while confronting the rising Power of China in Indian Ocean region.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his Japanese counterpart, Toshimitsu Motegi, said they will lead a regional initiative called “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” aimed at countering China’s growing assertiveness, a main issue they will discuss Tuesday with the top envoys from Australia and India.

The first in-person talks among the foreign ministers since the coronavirus pandemic began also brings together Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne and Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

Motegi, opening his working lunch with Pompeo ahead of the so-called Quad talks, said “I hope Japan and the U.S. will lead the international society to achieve the Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”

He also said the Japan-U.S. alliance continues to be “the cornerstone of peace and stability in the region” under new Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga who took office on Sept. 16, vowing to carry on his predecessor Shinzo Abe’s hawkish security and diplomatic stance.

Pompeo welcomed Suga’s recent description of the Free and Open Indo-Pacific as the foundation of regional peace and stability and that “I could not agree him more.”

On his way to Tokyo, Pompeo told reporters that the four countries hope to have some “significant achievements” at the meeting, but did not elaborate.

Japanese officials say they will discuss the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP) initiative for greater security and economic cooperation that Japan and the U.S. have been pushing to bring together “like-minded” countries that share concerns about China’s growing assertiveness and influence.

The talks come weeks ahead of the U.S. presidential election and amid tensions between the U.S. and China over the virus, trade, technology, Hong Kong, Taiwan and human rights. Pompeo is attending the Quad meeting, though he canceled subsequent planned visits to South Korea and Mongolia after President Donald Trump was hospitalized with COVID-19. The president was released Monday and returned to the White House.

The talks follow a recent flareup in tensions between China and India over their disputed Himalayan border. Relations between Australia and China have also deteriorated in recent months.

Japan, meanwhile, is concerned about China’s claim to the Japanese-controlled Senkaku Islands, called Diaoyu in China, in the East China Sea. Japan also considers China’s growing military activity to be a security threat. Japan’s annual defense policy paper in July accused China of unilaterally changing the status quo in the South China Sea, where it has built and militarized manmade islands and is assertively pressing its claim to virtually all of the sea’s key fisheries and waterways.

Suga, who had been chief Cabinet secretary under Abe, will make his in-person diplomatic debut as prime minister when he meets the Quad ministers. He will also hold separate talks with Pompeo on deepening the Japan-U.S. alliance and the FOIP.

“The world is possibly becoming even more unpredictable and uncontrollable due to heightening selfish nationalism and growing tension between the U.S. and China,” Suga told Japanese media on Monday. He said he will pursue diplomacy that is based on the Japan-U.S. alliance as a cornerstone and “strategically promote the FOIP,” while establishing stable relations with neighbors including China and Russia.

He said he also plans to promote the FOIP during a planned visit to Southeast Asia later this month.

Japan sees the FOIP as crucial to have access to sea lanes all the way to Middle East, a key source of oil for the resource-poor island nation.

Suga has little experience in diplomacy. Balancing between the U.S., Japan’s main security ally, and China, its top trading partner, will be tough, analysts say.

Japan hopes to regularize the Quad foreign ministers’ talks and broaden their cooperation with other countries. But each Quad member has its own political stance toward China and it would be difficult to agree on concrete steps even though they share perception of China as a common threat, analysts say.

US President Donald Trump has said that India does not give a “straight count” on the Covid-19 deaths.

Trump shot back, “When you talk about numbers you know how many people died in China? You know how many people died in Russia? You don’t know how many people died in India. They don’t give you a straight count.”

Biden said that the 200,000 people who died of the coronavirus in the US were 20 per cent of the global death toll of 1 million while the US population is only 4 per cent of the world.

The mention of India and the two other countries brought a passing reference to foreign countries.

Earlier in his news conferences, Trump has mentioned India’s record of conducting Covid-19 tests as the second-best in the world, only next to the US.
